MEET THE DOCTORS OF FPA

 

Harold "Hal" Snyder, D.D.S., M.S., purchased Frederick Periodontal Associates on May 23, 2007.  Dr. Snyder is a Board Certified Periodontist who graduated with distinction from the Virginia Military Institute, the Medical College of Virginia School of Dentistry, and he completed his periodontal residency at Eisenhower Army Medical Center. He received his Master’s Degree at the Medical College of Georgia. His distinguished 23-year military dental career provided him extensive clinical experience in all aspects of dentistry and periodontics. 

He is a fellow of the Academy of General Dentistry, a Diplomat of the American Board of Periodontology and has been an Associate Clinical Instructor at the University of Maryland School of Dentistry. He has received numerous academic and professional awards and has lectured internationally.  Colonel Snyder is a decorated veteran with the Bronze Star and Legion of Merit medals. He is involved in the local community with Mission of Mercy, the Frederick County Dental Society and the Francis Scott Key Dental Study Club.  

 

Deborah Jones, D.D.S., holds a B.S. Degree in Biology with a minor in Community Health, from Tufts University in Medford, MA.  She graduated Magna Cum Laude in 1992 from the University of Maryland Dental School.  In 1994, she completed her specialty training in Periodontics at the University of Maryland.  She earned her Board Certification in Periodontics in May, 2000. 

Dr. Jones is a member of the American Academy of Periodontology, American Dental Assn., Maryland State Dental Assn., and has held many offices in the Frederick County Dental Society, including becoming the first female President.  She currently serves as the Secretary/ Treasurer for the Francis Scott Key Dental Study Club.

Dr. Jones lives in Frederick with her husband and their two young children. She enjoys spending time with her family, horseback riding, volunteering for the Frederick County 4H Therapeutic Riding Program, and playing soccer and piano when she can find the time!


John. J. Golski, D.D.S. graduated Magna Cum Laude from the Baltimore College of Dental Surgery at the University of Maryland, in 1965.  After completing his degree, he served in the military for four years and completed a year of private practice in Raritan, N.J.  He completed his specialty training in Periodontology at the University of Maryland in 1972.  Dr. Golski taught full time at the University of Maryland’s Dental School from 1972-74, and he remained associated with the school until 2001.  As a teacher at the Dental School, he taught both graduate and post graduate level courses. Dr. Golski began his periodontal private practice in late 1973.  He has resided in the Frederick area since 1973 and has held various offices in both the local and state dental societies throughout his residency in Maryland.
